I have been an artist my whole life and have always dreamt of making Sacred art for the Catholic Church. My wife and I recently embarked on the adventure of trying live out that dream together and I now have the blessing of working part-time as an Iconographer.
The history of Iconography is an ancient, beautiful, and truly ecumenical one - spanning the divide between East and West, between Constantinople and Rome. It is truly Catholic in its universality, and ought to be a living blessing to the whole Church. It is a joy to breathe in this tradition and to share it anew.
